Text-to-speech for the iPod

Just an interesting technology tidbit -- Expressivo is now available for the iPod/iPod Touch -- allowing text-to-speech conversion. While the marketing materials say this is as good as the real person, it still sounds a little computer-like to me. Maybe because computers still just read the text in monotone and without the intonation and meaning embedded in the actual content. Anyway, for those who do not like to read their books, you can now have them read to you. You can learn a little more about this via the following article. Steve Jobs did say that people do not read anymore -- however, I doubt this is the final solution for delivering e-books on an Apple device. It could be an interesting add-on feature, though.
